Rob Beiley

Rob Beiley is a partner in Trowers & Hamlins' Housing and Regeneration department. Rob advises local authorities, RPs and charities on a broad range of projects.

For local authorities, Rob particularly focuses on housing (advising on the impact of council housing finance reform, housing transfers, ALMOs, shared services and other structures to facilitate housing investment) and, for RPs, on governance issues (including mergers, special purpose vehicles and joint ventures).

Rob is currently advising a number of RPs and local authorities on the retrofit of photovoltaic panels on social housing and is also working with a number of bodies exploring different approaches to public services.

His experience includes work on a large number of successful housing transfers, including several of the largest and most complex projects to date in Plymouth, Stockton on Tees, Wakefield and Walsall. He has advised a large number of successful ALMOs including Hounslow Homes, Cheltenham Borough Homes and Lewisham Homes.

He has also advised on a number of high profile mergers and restructures of registered providers, including the restructure of the Incommunities Group, acting for Sunderland City Council on the restructure of the Gentoo group and the entry of the English Churches Housing Group into the Riverside Group.
