The fight to save 'crumbling' Jaywick - Essex Live
"Jaywick Sands may have its problems, but there is a team of people dedicated to fixing it.
A collection of governing bodies - the Environment Agency, Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Housing and Finance Institute, Essex County Council, Tendring District Council and the local community - have merged thanks to a government grant of almost £10,000.
They're known collectively as the Jaywick Sands Coastal Community Team (CCT).
Although the safety of the residents is top of their priorities, the CCT is focused on improving the infamous deprivation rating the area has."
